http://sports-att.espn.go.com/ncf/index Could someone with ESPN insider list the top 25 returning running backs like we did for quarterbacks.
Don't want to post an entire premium content...but here are some notables.. 1. Adrian Peterson 2. Michael Bush 6. Kenny Irons 7. Darren McFadden 11. Ken Darby 20. Alley Broussard 22. Arian Foster
When referring to Irons please use his full name which is Kenny candy is my favorite posession Irons.
I think the talent is certainly there...but its hard to place a guy in the top 10 or 15 if he didn't even play the year before. the writer is probably taking a wait and see attitude after his injury.
No LSU runningback is ever gonna get that kind of love... Too much depth in the backfield, therefore theball gets spread around... also, unlike players like lynch, Broussard and company will actually be playing against real defenses...
I'm concerned about whether Broussard will return back to his old self. He had better get on the ball & get in shape this summer or our backfield will be filled with unfamiliar faces.
http://www.vegasinsider.com/college-football/story.cfm/story/507651 McFadden is listed by many as being the premier running back in the SEC this coming season. Irons isn't going to have the blocking he had last year. I think he will have a good year, but not a great year.
I am curious to see how McFadden fares in Malzahn's new offense. With a good air attack, he could really have a great year. But if the offense never clicks, he could suffer.
