On the ESPN Sports Reporters show, Jimmy Roberts discussed that LSU should be in the Championship game because it had definitely played better teams and that USC was getting way too much credit for its early season blanking of Auburn, which turned out to be a crummy team. But Bill Rhoden and Bob Ryan said they wanted USC anyway (I'll bet they vote, too) because of the horse and the band and the pageantry of having USC. They said that LSU was just a "football story" and that USC was a real national championship contender. Can't tell what John Saunders thinks.
I don't know anything about Rhoden but Ryan is a northeasterner and probably has the typical bias against Southern football.
They have been saying this for 5 weeks now!! They are only human and can not admit to making a mistake!! :geaux: :lsug: :geaux: :lsug:
I might be biased towards the SEC... but if y'all win the SECCG, there is no doubt in my mind that you should be playing Oklahoma. USC is good but their schedule is mediocre and they lost to a bad California team. I will be cheering with y'all for Oregon State next weekend. See ya the Dome....
BlackDawg34, I think some of the voters will feel the same way. The only problem I'm having with all of this, is that the national media is bascially saying that the PAC 10 is a tougher conference than the SEC. Thank you Oregon.
