The current front-page poll is "Which team deserves to play OSU in the MNC game?" One of the choices? LSU, along with UM, USC, and UF. Right after questioning if we should be eligible for an at-large bid. So not only greedy and manipulating, but dumb too. Not about LSU, but being so retarded.
I voted! I think the whole "2-loss" thing is messing with our standing. But honestly, if (IF) Arkanas and UCLA win does anyone want the rematch? Or would they rather let another team take another shot?
Yeah, I know. Just to see how it could happen, could an Arky win help us enough to gain the 1 point we have behind the Wolverines? And would Arky jump us in that case and -please no- get to the title game?
we dont have a chance of passing Michigan in the computer polls considering the gap. Michigan is ranked ahead of us in EVERY computer poll. The only way it could happen is if collectively the vast majority of the coaches and media decided that they don't want a rematch. It would never happen because the media wont let a 2 loss SEC team jump a one loss Big Ten team. Arkansas will not jump us. Mainly because our victory happened so late in the season.
It's obviously a completey hypothetical situation, so I don't think they're smoking weed. Honestly, everything else aside, with the way we've played this season, the talent we have, and the circumstances (all four away games against top 10 opponents) I could see an argument for LSU being deserving. But then throw in the polls and the lack of a conference championship and no, LSU does not deserve a shot. We had our shot and blew it against Florida and/or Auburn.
It would take roughly 2 out of every 3 voters to compensate for us being a full spot behind Michigan on average in the computer polls (solid #2 vs solid #3).
I don't see any chance of it happening. I am not even going to consider it because, in my mind at least, it does me no good. That loss to the barn really hurt. Thank the SEC refs with a dartboard in your house and move on.
