ESPN Gameday Televising from the Parade Grounds? I've been hearing rumors that the ESPN Gameday crew will be leaving up the jumbotrons in the parade grounds to televise the game there. Does anybody know if this is true and they plan on televising the game there?
This is true. Supposedly the student government association made a deal with ESPN to leave up the jumbotrons on the parade grounds and broadcast the game for students and fans who could not get tickets.
The Student Goverment should do this regularly. That way if you go down to campus and somehow can't find tickets you can always walk to the parade grounds and get tanked. ok maybe that's a bad idea now that I think about it. Anyway it's awesome that ESPN and the Student Goverment were able to work this out. :thumb:

This is the best news ever for any of who can't find tickets.....I'm driving in from Houston without a ticket....I just want to be there for the mayhem....... Also...why does the thread title mention the quad?
Very sad........I remember when you just showed up and showed the person working the gate your student ID and no one was turned away. Students should be in the front of the line not the back of the line JMHO. It's also hard to imagine how there could be increased interest, the idea that as a student you would ever miss a game never even crossed my mind back in those days.
I agree that was the best part about the first semester of college. When I was there they were not even winning. The students should get priority!
students have no money. and that's the sad part. the money (for refurbishments, additions, etc.) Has to come from somewhere. and as long as there are men, women, children who are willing to put out 400 bucks, and then buy season tix (at 36 a pop, right?), then the A A will do that. i saw many people whining on here about having to spend the 'extra' money for their tickets, but they got them. the A A is doing a whole lot trying to appease us the fans, the athletes, and even the state gov't and academia. yes, i feel a student should be able to go see their football team play, so maybe those season ticket holders who are upset about extra costs should give up those seats? where is the money, as opposed to love?
