Do you think we'll get ESPN gameday September 4th when we play the OSU beavers? I dont see how any other game could be bigger that weekend that early on in the season.
That is a good question........It would be great for gameday to come and then have the game on that night...
I can't think of one reason why they would go somewhere else. Here are a few other possibilities (none are better than LSU/OSU - not even close) and why they may be of interest: Saturday, September 4 Southern Cal at BYU - Will the media lovefest continue? Heisman watch. Wake Forest at Clemson - Some interest. Heisman watch. Colorado St. at Colorado - Will the CU program get back on track vs rival? Miami (OH) at Michigan - Big House always a favorite. Heisman watch. Arkansas St. at Missouri - Heisman watch. Western Illinois at Nebraska - New era begins for Nebraska. Cincinnati at Ohio St. - Ohio State always in the mix for ESPN. Pittsburgh at South Florida - Some interest. Long shot. Oklahoma St. at UCLA - Looks interesting on paper. East Carolina at West Virginia - Little interest. Long shot. Central Florida at Wisconsin - No interest. Western Kentucky at Kansas St. - Heisman watch. Bowling Green at Oklahoma - Heisman watch. Can OU get it back? North Texas at Texas - Heisman watch. Looks like a no-brainer to me...
IF that is the slate of games i feel like a shoe in. I wish the UGA game was here so that we could have 2 gameday's in one year. HAS that ever happened to any other school?
Why would they not come to the home of THE defending national champions, who just happen to be playing against a ranked team to open the season. That ranked team just happens to be Oregon State who just happens to be the only possible measuring stick that can be used to compare USC and LSU. You're right, I don't know why they would come here :dis:
i think i think gameday will come for that game, it is no other game biggesr; except for FSU/Miami and that game is on labor day
It looks like if they wanted to have a game day broadcast, at least the crowd for the LSU game would give them all the background they could handle. The defending National champion is a plus also with the south vs west coast thing it could have interest for the commercials. How far in advance does ESPN usually put this info out. Bad part is that it is a day game and I personally like Saturday nights in Tiger Stadium.
Colo St Colorado would be the pick if not for the garbage at CU....I dont think they want to expose college football gameday to all of that. Pitt S Fl is very interesting due to S Fla's record at home and with the loss of a decent WR @ Pitt. Okl St and UCLA kinda nice as well. But USC and BYU will take the cake... more time to push the Heisman and media child of USuCk.
