I don't think Texas moves up as much as you would think. True, a lot of teams ahead of them lost, but rather than Texas move up to #5, they could very well only make a 2-spot jump while everyone ranked ahead of them just jockey's around. Perhaps something like: 1. Oklahoma 2. USC 3. LSU 4. Ohio St. 5. Michigan 6. Georgia 7. Florida State 8. Texas 9. Virginia Tech 10. TCU *gasp*
Does anybody seriously think TCU could stay on the same field with some it the teams rated behind them, like Miami or Tennessee? Florida? Nebraska? Ole Miss? Texas Tech?
No. TCU would be stomped by any SEC or Big 12 team, I think. Also, if they played in the SEC. They would be like 5-7, maybe...
TCU is kind of like Tulane that year that they went undefeated. They were undefeated, but does anyone really care???
