So did anyone else notice that ABC's cutting included Bob Stoops sh%%T fit on the sideline in the first half after a penalty, and NO crowd nosie - how did they do that? Where I was it was so loud, you could not hear the broadcast!
Yeah, I watched it and they did cut a lot of the action to fit it into a 2 hour broadcast. Of course, Mooseburger still hadn't learned how to pronounce Mauck correctly  :geaux:
Anyone noticed a couple of times Brent Mustybooger slipped and said things like "Here we come", instead of "Here Oklahoma comes", accidentally showing his bias for the ole Sooner boys.
Oh yea - and the last Sooner 4th and 10, where Turner sacks White, right before the play he said "Come on" Freakin' jerk - but, hey we already knew that
Did anyone notice that during one of the commerical breaks Sports Illustrated had the USC commerical for the national championship. I thought that was pretty poor taste by ESPN to broadcast the USC version and not the LSU version of Sports Illustrated unless Sports Illustrated was dictating that. USC and Michigan were playing next after LSU Oklahoma in the rebroadcast of the Rose Bowl. I wonder if they are going to show the LSU version of Sports Illustrated during one of the commerical breaks.
Oh yeah I noticed - I'm not watching the Rose Bowl (who crares?), so I won;t see if they show the LSU National Championship commercial - has anyone ever seen this? Is it just because I live in NC?
I would think that the client, in this case SI would determine which versions of their commercials were shown and when. Thats pretty stupid marketing. It would make a lot more sense to show the LSU version during the Sugar Bowl replay and the USC version for the Rose Bowl replay. Not only was it ineffective to target LSU fans with USC propaganda, it would create a negative effect by pissing off the very people they are trying to sell their magazine too.
I wouldn't know, cancelled ESPN the magazine and will not watch ESPN (unless the Tigahs are on). Will not buy any of the products that were advertised on ABC either.
