I turned it on 45 minutes into the game and was like "Wtf". It was already the 3rd quarter. Why bother showing the game if you aren't going to show it in it's entirety?
They do that because they only have two hours to work with, it would be the same ESPN replay you see late at night on Saturdays of their better games that day (they only have 2 hours to work with when editing the game). So of course it is better have the video tape of the game, which I have since I tape all of LSU's games . . . but I did watch the ESPN instant classic thing anyway. Games like that are what college football are all about . . . guts, striving to win, not allowing a few bad breaks take you out of a game, and the dedication by the players to win a game for the school. All classic situations in my book, and it's why college football is 100xs better than the NFL. If I want stats and showboating I watch the NFL, for sheer football entertainment, drama, and kids playing for pride . . . I watch the college game. I don't care if we didn't throw 5 TDs, run in 4, throw for 300, or run for 200 . . . we won the game. Isn't that the reason we suit up a team? To win. Stats just don't matter when it comes to what the game is all about.
