In the name of "equal rights" Don Imus is being criticized again for comical comments about Pac Man Jones.

    His comment was as follows:

"What people should be outraged about is that they arrest blacks for no reason," Imus said Tuesday. "I mean, there's no reason to arrest this kid six times. Maybe he did something once, but everyone does something once."

The "rev" (and I use that term VERY LOOSELY, because I have never heard him preach the Gospel, only pimp the races) Al Sharpton has already said that it was "disturbing because it plays into stereotypes".

OK...here's the deal. If you don't want to be treated a certain way, then YOU don't need to treat people any kind of way you want to treat them. You can't demand that people don't say anything derogatory about your race in a comical way...when it is there job to be comical...and then feel free to say anything you want about any other race.

If Don Imus (who I don't endorse by the way..but still) is going to get into trouble every time he "makes a funny" about the black race...then take Tom Joyner off the air too. Take BET's Comic View off of the TV too. And even though I have listened and watched many times...what's fair is fair!

But that's just it...and that's where I get my point...it's ok for black comedians to say "disturbing things that play into stereotypes" about white people, or Hispanics, or Chinese people...YOU JUST BETTER KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT ABOUT BLACK FOLKS...OR YOU ARE RACIST AND WILL LOSE YOUR JOB!!

I ASK AGAIN...IS IT EQUALITY...OR DOMINANCE THAT BLACK AMERICA WANTS??? Because to want to be treated a certain way, but treating everyone else any kind of way is what I was always told was a hypocrite.

It has nothing to do with Dominance at all.

This is all Rev Al Sharpton, trying to shake someone else down for his own pocket and his organization or whatever he has.

Imus has good sense, what he said is fair, I didnt take anything from it, I give him the benefit of the doubt. This guy is smart, what he said about the women was wrong, but everyone deserves another shot. Sharpton should leave this alone and leave it alone in a hurry. He is just faning flames right about now.

IMO, Sharpton is just being the scumbag that he is and he needs to be called out for it.

    Case Closed.

Out of curiosity, did you think what Imus said last time was racist? I think everyone in America thinks it was out of line but there was some disagreement on whether or not it was racist. What do you think?

Are you serious? Are you really worried that black comedians are out to get you?

    Paranoia runs deep . . .

I think it had some racial overtones to it, It was out of line, but kinda racist at the same time. You dont call a black female a nappy headed ho, no matter if you are Don Imus or a rapper or an everyday person. I wouldnt want anyone calling my mother that, my mother has alot of white blood in her, but you get my point.

I think I was more upset with the fact that these women, are doing something positive with their lives, and wasnt on some music video half naked. These are collegiate atheltes.

I think that it was mostly just a DJ having to keep from having dead air on the radio. Sometimes their mouths just run a bit ahead of their brains. Sometimes you are trying to come up with a joke and it just falls dead.

It happens all the time on the radio.

I thought the nappy-headed part was racist, and the ho part was sexist.

Imus is a pig--though the whole episode ended up being quite tiresome.

My first reaction today was, "His ratings must be down".
I dont think the guy is out to hurt anyone.

Can't they just fire him for not being funny? Isn't that the real underlying issue here? Racist or not, they guy is just b-o-r-i-n-g.

When Imus is on top of his game, he is funny and insightful. But it's a long radio show and sometimes he's just getting by.
