Guys, I think Nick did the right thing by telling the team first before it was announced in public. Man, quit the crying he did it on Christmas. He would have done it earlier if the team was all together. He did not agree to accept the job until yesterday. I have nothing but respect for Saban. I hate to admit this, I told my father in July that Saban will be coaching in the NFL and old Steve S. would take the LSU job if Mack Brown did not tank at UT. Well I was half right. :thumb: Hell, I handed my RBM my resignation letter Monday…15 minutes before a POA meeting. I knew I was taking a better position, but I wanted to make sure the i's were dotted and the t’s were crossed. Timing sucks no matter what. LSU was LSU before Nick got there. He just awaken the “sleeping giant”. Look at it this way; at least he is not coaching Auburn or Bama (i.e. Pitino at Louisville). Look what UK fans had to go with Pitino, he said the same things Nick said how happy he is and he isn’t looking to coach in the pros., we all do, it is human nature. Competitive people and successful ones look for challenges. You are always looking and saying “what-if”? I applaud you Nick Saban, thank you for your hard work.
