Crip in the Catholic thread you stated I was just curious what your , and anyone else who wants to chime in, beliefs on the end of the world are. I personally view it the way that Revlation and other books of the Bible state the way the world will end. The Believers in Christ will be raptured out of the world to Heaven where they will be with God and Christ while Gods judgement is unleashed on the world. (Rev. 3:10, 2Thess. 2:6-7, 1Thess. 5:9, 1Thess 4:16) There will be a future world leader who unites the whole world under his leadership (Dan. 7:17-28, Dan 8) This man will be from the old Roman Empire (Dan. 9:26) This man will will confirm a 7 year peace treaty with Israel (Dan. 9:27) He authorizes the Jews to rebuld the temple (Dan. 11:31) He then stops the sacrifices of the Jews and sets himself up to be god (2Thess 2:4, Dan 9:27, Matt 24:15) After this man sets himself up as god there will be 1260 days left until the end (Dan 7:25, Rev 12:14, Rev 12:6, Rev 11:2, Rev 13:5) The man appears to be mortally wounded but he is "resurrected" (Rev 13:3) After this another man appears and forces everyone to worship the man who was dead but now isn't or they will be killed (Rev. 13:11-17) Jesus then comes back and chains Satan in hell for 1000 years while the Antichrist and his False Prophet are sent to the lake of burning sulfer(2Theee 2:8-9, Rev. 19:20, many many other places) Jesus then reigns on earth for 1000 years but at the end of that time Satan is loosed from his bondage and given one last chance to decieve the people, many many people will march against Jesus but they lose and Satan is cast into the lake of burning sulfer(Rev. 20:10) Everyone is then judged according to if they accepted Jesus, for salvation (Rev 20:11-15) Then those who accepted Jesus are given rewards based on the works they have done at the Bema Seat of Christ (2 Cor. 5:10, Rom. 14:10, Matt. 10:41, Rev 2:10, 2 Tim. 4:7-8, Rev 22:6)
every generation of every century thought it would occur in their time due to aforementioned signs or others. Insane to speculate on it I think.
I'm not trying to speculate on when it will happen I was just wondering what everyones view on it was. I'm not trying to set a date or anything but Crip stated on the Catholic thread that he thought we were getting close so I was curious as how he thought the end of the world would come about.
I see the end of the world like this.......... Tom Cruise wearing a baseball cap and cordaroy jacket driving a 1988 minivan trying to escape the wrath of one Darth Vader, voice by James Earl Jones, who is flying in a missle equiped 747 that is bright pink. I see martin as Vader's co pilot pointing out the likes of Tiger Rag Andrew and Crip and K Team, asking that Vader send them walking into the river Styx wearing a pointy wizard's hat since they did not believe in the scientific reasoning for why are universe was created. I see Sourdoughman holding up signs protesting that martin was allowed to ride with Vader, and asking Tom Cruise as he flees in his beat up minivan what his thoughts are on the death penalty and HDTV. I see tirk using his non pornographic pictures as an offering to martin and Vader, and thus hitching a ride on the 747 obliviating the world. this upsets islstlsu to the point where the pathagrean theorom is forever emblazzened on his forehead and a$$, the true mark of the beast. by this time Vader has gotten to TE at Bass Pro Shops where he is selling stink bait to catfishermen. the smell is so appaling, as is TE's constant rant about how terrible John Brady is, that TE is left to live amongst the mutants on what was once known as south Louisiana's biggest fishing palace in a town with 5 highway exits. Then I see Tom Cruise meeting SabanFan, and turning around to meet his fate with Vader after never getting a word edgewise with the "voice of reason". Finally, I see martin give the signal to tirk who calls Crawfish who is babysitting Saban's kids in South Beach and still saying Nick is a Tiger for life. crawfish gets on his saban phone and calls nick in his death star, and he hits the button that destroys the world as we know it, except for Tiger Stadium which was spared for its beauty to all mankind, aliens, and wizards alike. The End. so, besides the humor, i think the world will end so fast that none of us will know what happened. so live life to its fullest everyday, and have fun dammit!
Although this time unlike anyother time in history there has be a sudden surge in both the litarery (sp) world and the art of television and movies. And I am not talking about the fictional crap like the Ice Age. I just see these as possible being attempts by God to reach his people and tell them to change. And Gimp pretty much what you put down is how I do believe it will go, but it is hard to determine excatly how they will take place, but you got the timeline right. The only thing I differ with you on is the last thing about those that are rightious recieving rewards. I feel OUR reward will be to be able to live in heaven on earth. But I do feel these times are upon us and it is more then the obivious signs of war that everyone will site and have sited, this is a person feeling with in my gut and the visions I have had myself. But the path I am on now I forsaw happening 2 years before I even decided to join the army. you may think I am crazy but someone has been guiding my life for me these past couple of years and still is to this day. For what purpose I have yet to discover but only recently have I felt this uncontrolable desire to discuss this topics with anyone that will listen. I really cant explain it because I have know idea how to, and when I sit down to talk to someone or type something I dont even think I just let my fingers type, it is very strange to me. I am sure you all think i am crazier then a **** house rat now, but thats ok.
The production and worldwide reaction to Gibson's Passion is very telling, IMO. The new world order is going to happen within the next years. The European Union/United Nations will be the seat, with the ten world kings in representation. The good news is that the rapture will happen prior to all of that.
I believe that the new world order will be set by the UN, right now there is 7 main memebers of the UN only a matter of time before 3 more step up to take their seats.
