I don't care anything about Eli, or about Larry Fitzgerald or about Perry, but if THAT is the Heismann winner the whole thing is rigged. I loved it when ABC listed all the "hardware" OU players got and sort of wondered where was the beef...shows me that LSU's PR machine wasn't in gear early enough, because those OU winners certainly can't match our guys. Anyway, please don't think I'm dissing the loser--OU played hard. But the one thing that shocked me was the poor play of White. And for them to even consider pulling him and putting in a sophomore who might "give them another dimension"!! I hope this silences the talk about his getting the Heismann again next year!!
Forget PR machines and any other hardware that doesn't say National Champions on it!!!! It's the only hardware that counts the rest is just garnish!!!!!!
It would've mattered if he talked to Greene or not, White and especially his coaches didn't think we were better than anybody else they played
Its not White who played poorly.........it was our defense who played so well. I was very please of how they came to play tonight! LSU 2003-2004 NATIONAL CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!! GEAUX TIGERS!:geaux:
Re: Re: Eli Manning was robbed! If OU had played USUCK tonight White would have shredded their defense.
Re: Re: Re: Eli Manning was robbed! Exactly.........Oh and I loved when at halftime Lynn Swann (?) asked Bob Stoops about how is offense is playing against the #1 ranked defense.......and Stoops replied you mean the #1 scoring defense cause we are the #1 ranked defense....NOT anymore Bobby! :geaux:
How come all these great QBs happen to play poorly against LSU? I don't get it. How come Eli Manning, Matt Jones, David Greene and Jason White all just happen to have a bad day and play poorly against LSU? [2 bad days for David Greene] Could it be that LSU has a great D? I wonder how many of these brilliant AP writers' headlines would read "Matt Lienert just had a bad day against LSU?" if there were just 'one more game'?
The firs tpost about Eli was the only one that isn't right on. Eli didn't light us up either and White had by far the better season. The mian thing tonight showed about awards on both a conference and national level is that TIGAHS should have won more of them.
