V Tech lose to Miami OR
    V Tech Beat Miami
and then maybe have Fla St beat Va Tech in the Champ game.

Because if Miami wins does this keep them ahead of LSU for good provided the Canes and Tigers win out?

Samething with UCLA possible beating USC... probably better to root for FRESNO ST correct?

    Ask the computer polls.

We have a good shot of reaching #2 in the human polls if USC and VT lose (Texas isnt losing) and we win the SEC championship. The computers will be a different story with VT, Miami, FSU all having same record and better SOS.

UCLA would have to lose one. If UCLA goes unbeaten, they will be ahead of us guaranteed. As they should be.

Miami likely has to lose one for us to finish ahead of them. Penn State will be behind us by the end of the year, our computer numbers will catch up to them enough to make up the difference.

Anyone remember in '03 when the greatest team of all-time (dubbed by the media) Oklahoma, didnt have a chance in hell of losing on its way to the BCS bowl?

    What about this.

    Va tech beats miami
loses to virginia and fla st. in chmp. gm

    Ucla loses Arz. St
    Beats USC

Usc loses to cal. and ucla

Fla. St loses to Fla .

    LSU wins out.

    Does that do it?

    LSU Texas In Rose Bowl

OK, right now its USC, Texas, VTech, Bama, UCLA, Miami, Penn State, and LSU in the top 8 of the BCS. USC loses to Cal and beats UCLA, Miami beats VTech, LSU beats Alabama, USC beats UCLA, Florida beats Florida State and Florida State beats Miami in the ACC Champ. game. Texas keeps on winning and Penn State will not have jump over us. Just like Calco said, LSU and Texas playing for the national championship.

I say Va Tech beat Miami, Fla St win their division...yet lose the non-conference game against Florida, and--as a 2-loss team--upset Va. Tech in the ACC Title game.

That's the---pardon the pun---Rose-iest scenario for any team hoping to catch and surpass the top two teams in the ACC.

Of course, that doesn't help you a bit when it comes to USC and Texas, but hey...it's part of the puzzle! :thumb:

How can any of us forget? They take care of bidness and beat K. State in Kansas City and we'd have had an undisputed national champ--#1 OU versus #2 LSU, with USC being that year's "Auburn", on the outside looking in.

Thanks for nothing, Sooners! :yelwink2:
