Anyone who is worried about our future is not worth having around to begin with. Please ignore this inane drivel and go on about your day. This guy is blind or stupid if he doubts the direction this team is headed. Are there problems? Of course there are. Are they correctable? You bet your ass they are. We are talking about freshman and sophomores making these mistakes....the effort and talent are there, with experience will come better execution. We're all frustrated about the season, but you can't sit there and say that the future of LSU football is in jeopardy when Miles is fresh off of polishing a crystal football, while securing yet another top-5 recruiting class. This class in particular will be better than anything we've ever seen, and you have the gall to question Miles, or our future? You should be ashamed to even call yourself a Tiger fan.
Do we all agree that Ole Miss is a better team than Troy?? If your answer is yes then you have to be very concerned about our next game. If we are no better prepared for Ole Miss than we were for Troy then yes we are in a little bit of trouble. I won't say that the future of LSU Football is in trouble just yet but I do think things are very close to getting out of hand.. Good quarterbacking will cure just about all those problems as it will give the defense more rest & put more points on LSU's side of the scoreboard. :geaux:
Agree. We're in serious trouble. We all know what the problem. Question is, how do you solve the problem while minimizing the damage? Assuming LM is an imbecile, what is the most prudent course to maintain quality recruits, reputation, etc.. Now or Later?
I don't belive they were playing prevent defense for an entire half, but if they were they deserved to lose. Also, it seemed to me their running game was pretty good.
I'm curious, too! I am not a fan of the double DC idea. In this case, I don't think two halves make a whole. The D has been a little like J Lee, hasn't it? Sometimes they play very well (see second half from tonight, and most of the Alabama game) and sometimes they seem to be observers rather than participants. (see first half tonight and the UGA and UF games this year.) Why is that? Really? I don't know. An old saying is that "If it's everybody's job, it's really nobody's job.", or, if you prefer, "Too many cooks spoil the broth." I would prefer a strong, emotional DC who can really inspire some nasty play. You know, sort of like the HC at Nebraska.....what was his name? So that's where I stand on the double DC situation. I say pick one and tell him HE is responsible. :geaux::geaux::geaux::geaux::geaux::geaux:
Does anything intellgent EVER come from your keyboard? And if Miles plays his loyalty card and keeps the "co-DCs" then we are gonna be in trouble on defense. But I guess on a forum board no one is allowed to have an opinion and still be a fan if that opinion is different from yours or the koolaid drinking masses!
I am worried about Ole Miss. I just hope the momentum from this game carries over into the next. Of course, we all said that after the South Carolina game, and UGA rolled us. I have faith we'll win, but it'll be tough. One of the problems is that LSU can't play 60 minutes. That HAS to stop. They have got to play the full 60 minutes.
