I watched every down of the game vs. Troy. Yes, I'm proud of the Tigers' comeback. Give Les and his boys credit. But the Tigers got quite lucky. They still don't have a QB. Troy played prevent defense in the second half and missed a ton of tackles. Plus, they just handed the ball to LSU, perhaps inspired by the way LSU handed the ball to Alabama last week. On offense, Troy had no rushing attack. Their QB threw more than 70 times! And LSU had just one sack! You think Ole Miss is gonna be that one-dimensional? Arkansas? Nope. The future of LSU football is in trouble. Heart is great. But it ain't enough in the SEC. Watch Florida's last four games this year, and let reality sink in. :tigerhead
I go agree people should be ultimately excited and proud of this team the way they perservered. That showed a lot of character. But on the other hand, this was the same team that lost to UL-M. The list of problems for this team appears to getting longer as the season wears on. Les will have to decide in the offseason if his relationship with his DCs are more important than LSU winning games. That choice ultimately determines the track this program takes. I hope he does the right thing.
I don't think that's true. I think the future is VERY bright for our Tigers. :geaux::geaux::geaux::geaux::geaux:
I dont think the future is in trouble..yet! I think that this offseason is a crossroads. There are some choices that are gonna have to be made and some recruits that could still change their mind. Depending on how we far in the offseason I think will set the tone for the future of this program!
I respected everything you said except for the above. :dis: The future is in trouble??? I'm sure Oklahoma fans said that same thing 2 seasons ago....and didn't Florida lose 4 games last year? 'Bama was 6-6 and one year later find themselves #1 and 11-0.... Quit yer b*tch''n will ya, Chicken Little?!
My biggest concern about Miles is.....Will he make a change at DC in the off season. From what I understand about Miles is he does not change alot of coaching positions. He has to see that there is a problem but will he do something about it.
