We have a team staring us in the face that thoroughly whipped our ass last year. Divert some of that energy toward this Saturday night in Tuscaloosa and hope for some bigtime payback and not a nail biter.
yeah, I agree....the BCS will work itself out if we can beat the teams ahead of us.... First up - BAMA!!!
I'd like to believe that, really but the numbers say differently. 1. Oklahoma 1 1 1.0 1.00 7 0.28 0 2.28 -0.60 1.68 2. So. Cal 2 2 2.0 2.83 16 0.64 1 6.47 -0.20 6.27 3. Ohio St. 4 4 4.0 2.17 14 0.56 1 7.73 7.73 4. LSU 3 3 3.0 6.67 65 2.60 1 13.27 -0.10 13.17 LSU at 6.67 Computer Poll Rankings (NY Times has Ole Miss & Tennessee ahead of LSU) & LSU at 2.60 SOS kills our chances. There is only one chance now ... OSU lose to Purdue or Mich and USC must lose 1 game. LSU will never jump over an undefeated USC because of these BS Computer polls. A final BCS poll (Top 3) could look like this: 1. Oklahoma 1 1 1.0 1.00 7 0.28 0 2.28 -0.60 1.68 2. So. Cal 3 3 3.0 2.83 16 0.64 1 7.47 -0.20 7.27 3. LSU 2 2 2.0 4.00 25 1.00 1 8.00 -0.50 7.50 For LSU to have a chance to get close to USC: 1. LSU will need for OSU to lose to Purdue or Michigan 2. LSU will need to BEAT THE LIVING HELL OUT OF THE REST OF THE SCHEDULE and receive an AP/ESPN ranking of 2. 3. LSU will need a Computer poll average of less than 4. 4. LSU will need a SOS reduction to 25 for a total of 1.0 deduction. 5. LSU needs USC's SOS to cause them to lose more points The absolute BOTTOM LINE = These BS Computer polls have LSU by the BALLS cuz they love USC. If OSU loses, look for USC to get all the #2 votes. LSU will benefit, but probably not enough to get below a #4 ranking.
Oh, and TCU just has to lose soon. These mutts are killing us in the Computer polls. We'll take care of Tennessee & Ole Pi$$.
