Doing LSU movie, need song suggestions...

    I am going to whip up another movie for LSU if they win the SECCG. I need a good song to use (please see link for an example). Something not ordinary (no Foo Fighter "hero" or anything like that). The song from the USM-TCU movie was from a Mississippi artist, are there any local bands with a song that would fit?

    King of New Orleans is a fitting title of a song by Better Than Ezra

    Cowboy Mouth would be fitting too.

    Thanks for the suggestions so far... I will have to break the songs out and give them a listen.

    Dallastigers, I was born in Baton Rouge, went to college at USM from 1996-2001 (scholarship, otherwise it wouldve been LSU), and now live in Irving. It is awesome to see so many LSU fans in the DFW area.

    I would suggest some live action clips in addition to the stills with quotes.

    You could also include the classic stadium anthem by Queen - We are the Champions

    Hmmm, We Are The Champions would fit, but might be a little cliche. This Time of Year is probably #1 or #2 on my list, we used that for our graduation song and it goes very well with still shots.

    I am expecting some pretty good quotes from the coaches and players after the game, and some impressive pictures.

    Good suggestions, keep em comin...

    I love that song, but I think I'm going to go with something more sentimental than upbeat. That's what I'll be cranking at my post-game party for sure.

    Heh, a pretty good topic for dicussion would be "What Songs Would You Put On Your Post SECCG Party CD?"
