Does USC Band has alot of Hired Musicians?

Does USC Band have alot of Hired Musicians?

I was at a dinner party here in the bay area and we got to talking about LSU and USC and one of the ladies said something that really surprised me.

She said USC hires musicians from the LA area to perform with their band. They wear the USC uniform and march but are hired to do so.

Anybody else heard that ?

If it is true that is pathetic.

Who knows. That would be strange, but USC is a huge school... I'm sure they could put together their own band.

 

The Go-Go's would be a pretty good pro band and they are SC graduates....

There band doesn't sound any better than anyone elses...

It really don't matter to me... As long as they not hiring pros to play on their teams, their band can do wha tthey want

 

All I know abouy USC's band is that they absolutely suck. If they do hire people, they are getting ripped off. I believe they only play one freakin' song...and of course, it sucks.

 

USC band plays those same few droning notes all game long. I don't know what it is, or why they play it, but I have to use the Mute to watch any USC game.
