Who cares what ESPN says about LSU. If they won the National Championship 4 years in a row they probably would they anything good about LSU. In the last quarter of the LSU - Oregon State game Corso & Herbstreet came down on the west sideline and was actually pulling for Oregon State. Since that game I haven't watched ESPN that much. I may be Stupid to feel that way, but when you are a Tiger fan you just can't help it. It's going to be a good game this weekend. LSU 24 - Fla. 21
I was hoping that a couple of losses would let some of you guys get over this media/respect thing. Nobody gives a crap about (insert team name) except for (insert team name) fans.
Oh please. The guy is perhaps one of the most visible and well-known college football analysts around and he made a mistake (not the first one this year by the way) with the name of an LSU quarterback. As a LSU fan, you have every right to get a bit disgruntled by such a thing. It is not about respect at all. It is about a professional at the top of his game as a college football analyst dropping the ball covering the defending national champions. Who are you DinardoFan to chime in with your nobody gives a crap line.
My point is that only an LSU fan would care that he did not use the name Marcus. If he said OU quarterback Mason White, I'd notice it but I wouldn't rant that he shows OU no respect. This lack of respect for LSU thing is extremely trite and tiring. Very immature I might add. By the way, I frankly don't give a damn if you disagree with my viewpoint, but your "who are you to..." question could easily be asked of you.
Understood. You seem to have a "forum police" mindset as of late and it can become bothersome. To me, this is not about respect though. This particular error is an indication of sloppy journalism. People with such a position should be expected to at least come across as knowledgeable of the players and teams he writes about. If it were a one time mistake by him, fine, ok. But to do it on repeat occasions. C'mon, gimme a break.
