This thought came across my mind tonight. Does LSU lose the Cap One Bowl on the last play if Jack Hunt was quarterbacking the secondary. Under Jack Hunt's leadership last year, I can't recall one blowed coverage assignment that was quite obvious. The Florida game he missed last year, there was two that costs touchdown.

Also how many teams can have this acclaim - lose two games in a three year span on a hail mary and win one on a hail mary?

Impossible to say, but we probably wouldn't lose it like we did. That was a one in a million play and hat's off to them for executing it.

We might not have loss on the field but I am sure they would have made us forfeit the game if Hunt had played. Why even think about that.

Let's not play the What If Game...

What if that Pass Interference wasn't called on the 2 Pt Conversion...?

Go for 1 on the next TD.... don't fake the FG... another 3 IF he makes it.... there's 6 points.... Lots of IFs in the game... What IF those punts weren't blocked....... What IF Broussard was stopped on that long run at the end of the first half?

    What about this...
If NS comes back next year does he put Matt Flynn in the game in that situation instead of JR, I say no way!

If for giving Flynn his chance but not in a bowl game when we're down especially when
you could count his snaps during the season on one hand.

I'm also betting our D would've played a little better with no busted coverage
on the last play of the game.

There are many busted coverages and missed assignments during every game, some we don't even know about b/c no big play results.

It happened against Arkansas 2 years ago and we blew a coverage against Auburn this year on their winning TD pass.

I don't believe the coach leaving affected the outcome of the game. I refuse to make any excuses. Iowa earned the victory.

If I climb a ladder that is missing a step.... but I pretend that step is there... Will the pretend step support my weight when I step on it?

Just curious, lemme know what you all think!!!

Just picking on ya, Sabertooth. :) :)

Good one. I kinda set myself up with the thread. My point kinda got scrambled. I just wanted to say how important the quarterback of the defense is. Marcus Spears is the leader of the defense but I don't necessarily believe he is the quarterback. I think we were somewhat missing a defensive quarterback this year and that is where the Jack Hunt reference came from.
