kinda strange really the reaction wasn't that bad at all , or at least from the fans in my area, most knew McKnight wasn't going to stay instate and had accepted it.

Still some fans no matter where you are are going to think exactly like that. They see it as a betrayal, when all it really is, is a chance to get away form home and experience something new (Earthquakes instead of hurricanes )

There was a much stronger reaction to Luther Davis. Course there were different circumstances.

I remember people here at TF.com were in complete meltdown mode.

They also moved on fairly quickly. Wonder why Dodd didn't bother talking about how petey had bush on the phone, or other stories that never were quite straight?

I remember most of the fans being competitive about it and held up hope. I wouldnt say most were expected it to be a no brainer and he should come to LSU or else. It wasnt as bad as I expected it would be. Too many signals pointed to USC. LD was a bigger story IMO.

A lot of people complained, but we didn't have any RBs leaving for the NFL, we did have 2 WRs leave. 5 Star WR- Terrence Toliver was far more important to LSU, IMO.

I sure if a top recruit from the land of fruits and nuts decided to come to LSU, all the USC fans would stand up, applaud his decision and wish him well. Right.

I agree. Because of where he went and how it went down.

I wish him the best and hope he does well. In the meantime, we have a couple of our own superstars in Keiland Williams and Richard Murphy to make us forget all about Joe McKnight.:thumb:
