I visit this forum everyday, but rarely do I post or reply. Maybe it is my typing or spelling. But the constant coaching/player bashing that is on this forum tends to make me believe that most of the posters are LSU FB fan imposters. (Notice I didn't say Bad fans) Like I said, I visit this forum everyday, and in this day of information technology so do a lot of other people around the globe. Constant bashing of our players and coaches does nothing for our goal of being the best. A lot of you are Alumni, so if you want to fire a coach who has guided us through a rough emotional season, then I figure you have the power to do that. But you don't need to do it here. There are a lot of posters (and good ones at that), that are members here from other schools, who do and should point out our weaknesses, and do a lot of trash talking. But we need to stand up, and have some intellegient replys (not excuses), and show that as a fan base we are the best. That kind of attitude would carry over to our players, our coaches, and our recruits, and make this a place that every great player wanted to play for. I have a lot of opinions about bad play calling, think the backup is better than the starter, don't like this or that coach, etc. I discuss it on the back porch over a cold one, or at work with rival fans, etc. But I don't put it out here and come across as a b!tcher and moaner, and make my university look like a bunch of whiners. So much for my ignorant post, but after a few JB's just thought I'd let it fly. Go my mighty Tigers. Wish I had some words of inspiration for you, but just beat UM for me and my two great boys (who wear their purple and gold to school almost daily right here in Alabama... good post. a very good racing buddy of mine lives in Wetumpka, Ala. yes I support LSU, through think and thin. I loved Charlie mac and the whole team in the 7-4 years. Always a Tiger.... :geauxtige
Always have & always will. I will have a son attending LSU next year and I couldn't be happier. I didn't go to school there, guess you could just say I adopted them years ago. I love them right down to my LSU belly button ring! (Thought you guys would get a kick out of that one!) Fantastic post!
This is the modern-age. If you have something to say, say it. I don't like people "coach bashing", but I wouldn't like that on the back porch either. It's not because it's on an online forum. Let me ask you, what do you think of the idiots that do this on the radio? Is that any better? Most of our posters have been here a while and really are LSU fans.
I agree about having something to say , say it. But be able to say it in a way that shows that you are proud to be a fan of your university. Heck, I have had to listen to Bama fans for far too long. That negativity just about killed their program. As for Auburn, they are lucky they have any program at all, they way their boosters control it. Just lately it seems that their is way too much negative speak on here. Constructive critisizm (sp) is what I'd like to see, and not so much bashing. Know what I mean...
I also agree with you. One thing I've found about being an LSU fan is that it's like being a family. One mention of LSU to another fan, even if you've never met them before, is like you've known them forever. Plus, it's the joy of freedom of speech. If you grew up wanting to be a Tiger, nothing said on this forum is gonna change your mind. As with any "family" there's always gonna be differences.
What some see as complaining and negativity, I mostly see as passion. I say mostly because it is obvious that some people are forever dismal. I actually love the fact that LSU fans come on here and have such heated discussions. It shows a passion for this university that is not rivaled by many others. "intellegient replys"?
Yep, I agee too. I guess I just have seen/saw too much of 'insert name here' sucks. We are a family and show how passionate we are, but the real question is, do we hurt our recruiting? I guess that was really my main point. Good replys from all of you. As the title of the post said, I truly know that you all support LSU.:geauxtige
