Do we? Working pretty good as it is. And why Texas A & M? Just curious on your thoughts.

    THE osu

I would just as soon see THE ohio state as I would a&m. I am with you, the SEC is just fine the way it is.

16 team conferences will generate more money. You have to adapt or die, even if you're the best. Look at the Big 12. They were the second best conference and they are being torn apart because of money. Better to be one of the first to act and get the schools you want rather than waiting until the end and sifting through what's left.

Expansion is inevitable. People may not be happy with it, but they should accept it. It's just a matter of time.

There isn't a think wrong with the 'Legends' and the 'Leaders' divisions... but seriously, I'm not crazy about it but we could make it work.

No. Don't tinker with a formula that works. Super-conferences reduce the SEC to one national championship contender. Right now we often have a handful. Everybody is happy, we are making money, we are winning championships . . . why do we want to give the other conferences equal treatment that takes us down a notch?

Agree. I was listening to an interview (didn't catch the name) driving home the other day and the guy said we aren't that far away from 4 super conferences of 20 teams each. A merger of the ACC/Big East, the SEC, Big 10, & PAC 10.

    Good point.

As much as the SEC IS working out fine....it's working out fine "right now".

aTm isn't like the Big East taking a flier on TCU and hope they continue to be a top 25 program to strengthen their conference, etc.

aTm is traditionally a school that has a HUGE fanbase and following.

To even off the divisions, I would actually add Clemson or Florida St. to the East. Don't fancy either UVA or VT.

And if we're going 16 teams, I would push hard for Oklahoma in the west and then add the school out of Clemson/FSU that wasn't 1st choice.

Yeap! Tradition is going down the tubes and we'll just have to get use to it.

Here's a link talking about TX and OU flirting with the idea of expanding the Pac 12! Pac-16 with Oklahoma Sooners, Texas Longhorns being discussed, source says - ESPN

JMO, I see the Pac 12, Big 10 and SEC forming 3 big superconferences and Big 10/SEC would build off teams from ACC and Big East.

I know I'm in the minority here but I welcome the idea of Texas A&M.

palousetiger.....GO COUGS! My wife has many family members who are alumn....she's from Wa State (Woodland).
