1. Well having been in the stadium for 1st game in 2003 any predictions on whether their will lightning delay for game. Dont remember that happenning for a long time and then it has happenned to LSU the past 2 years.

Here's hoping it is a nice clear hot Louisiana evening.
  2. I hope we don't have a monsoon again because I want the field to be in great shape to allow our players to get all their cylinders clicking before we face some stiff competition.

I personally find the monsoons fun, but from a football aspect - it would be better to have a cool, dry night.
  3. Only when Dan Borne says "chance of rain ...never" and the heaven's open up
  4. This is the only delay I am expecting.

16 days, 3 hr, 46 min, and 10 sec, give or take.
  5. last year was a 5:00 kickoff... and that is the peak of thunderstorms during the day...

by 7:00... we will be okay
  6. this lightning delay thing is way outta control. tons of games are delayed every weekend when in the past it was never. i agree to take precaution but one flash 500 miles away causes a delay of over an hour. there needs to be a little common sense with this stuff. i hate it.
  7. You are sooooo right, sometimes it is ridiculous.
  8. it is... but one mistake in judgement, and someone gets hurt, the school loses millions in a suit.

Look at the game that Corso's car got struck...

    That is cutting it close

  9. i dont think waiting an hour is gonna reduce the chance of it happening again in another hour. then again, Im no pat shingleton.

its never even a storm passing. just some kid with a sparkler at mckinley.
  10. You need to start writing down some of this material... :hihi:

If we can put a seismograph on the field to measure how much the stadium moves the earth, and we can put a radar unit on a fishing boat, we ought to be able to put a Super Doppler 10,000,000 on the field to see where the weather is and if it will impact Death Valley.
