    I'll give you the secret of Dixie Beer. No charge.

    Beer has a shelf life. Dixie is no exception. Trouble is many of the stores and bars that sell Dixie don't sell a lot of it and it sits around and gets stale. Thus its bad reputation the farther you get from New Orleans.

    I only order Dixie at a place that moves a lot of Dixie . . . like a corner bar in New Orleans or the Alligator Bar. A fresh Dixie is the best beer in the world to go with red beans and rice.
