On Stub Hub, the majority of the available tickets seem to be on the LSU side. We are driving down today, but my wife (Alabama grad) is getting reports that the number of Bama fans far out number the number of LSU fans right now. I HOPE we have at least a 60/40 home field advantage in the Dome, but I'm starting to wonder. Any one got any input on this?
Don't know. Our Tigers are just going to have to take care of business no matter how many people are there.
I didn't know there were official "sides" for the National Championship game, other than the tickets allocated to the Universities. How would anyone know right now who has more fans planning on attending?
We did OK when they had a 90/10 advantage in November! 50,000 Tigers will be in that Dome ... someone's tellin' you stories
You're letting the Gump propaganda get to you. Tell your wife to spread the news to her Gump buddies so they can feel all giddy about the news since you aren't buying that crap.
There are a ton of 'Bama fans down here right now. I still think LSU fans outnumber them, but not by much. The hard part to gauge is that not all of them have tickets. I wouldn't be worried though. The LSU band played halftime at the Saints game and the crowd went nuts. That place will be ROCKING tomorrow night regardless.
Many LSU fans felt good about our chances of making it to the BCSCG after Nov 5th and started making arrangements to attend the next day. Bama had to wait another week and a half plus before their opening reappeared due to the Okie State loss and many of them waited until the BCS selection show to make arrangements.
