I was very dissappointed in our loss last night to houston. Most people are right. We desperately need to start making outside shots. And our guards need to start penetrating.

We lost to a below average houston squad. Maybe this will be a wake up call.

Also I've noticed all of our offensive plays are seldom used. We have no pick plays; no pick and roll plays. It basically looks like we were just passing the ball around and afraid to shoot last night.

Hopefully our outside shots will start to fall by SEC play, if not it looks like I'm gonna eat my 20-4 or 20-5 record.

I went to the game. I think we have shooters but it was just an off night. It may be a little tougher than I thought to make the dance but I feel confident we will. It was frickin freezing in that gym last night. Was anyone else there?

Houston's not that bad. That was their 5th win in a row. They play ULL Sat nite. ULL played 'Zona close last night.

I'm glad we lost one before SEC play. It should get them refocused.

Sadly, I feel a little vindicated. The Houston game was just a taste of how SEC teams will play us. Only they will have better athletes. Several of the guys had horrible nights---namely, Mitchell and Koundja a combined (2-15) and Lloreda and Koundja had 12 turnovers. 8 for Jaime must stop!!! Mitchell had 1 assist and 0 steals. You would hope that when you're shooting is off one night you can contribute in other ways---maybe he played solid D.

    The good news:

Bass and Lloreda dominated. It's looking like we can count on both of them in every game (even on the road, although I don't guess @ Houston is a rough crowd).

Can't shoot much worse from the outside.--should get better later.

I was impressed with Minor's stats. If he doesn't foul out I think we win.

    The bad news:

We will see this D (and much better) all year.

Only one game to get confidence back before SEC play.

I think Whipple needs some electric shock treatment. He was a good point last year--he is now worthless. At least Brady knows it, too. Whipple played only 16 min last night. I think it is officially Tack's job now.

Can the freshman (Bass excluded) play on the road?

Minor was a bright spot. If he doesn't foul out we might pull that one out.
