Did you see the stats for the first 3 games of the season?

Not very impressive. Considering the competition we played last year.

Too many people say that we did not have a QB last year.

For the first 8 games Jarrett Lee looked pretty good. No worse than Mettenberger through three games, and two of those were against #3 Oregon and #22 Miss State.

I have heard that T-Bob and Shephard went to Miles before the championship game demanding that Lee played. Only to get benched.

Jefferson looked like a deer in the headlights! He was scared to death during that game. The players seemed not to care at all.

I still would like to have Miles get off his hobby horse, and do some explaining.

I don't think we will ever know what really happened on that night, except it was the worst coached and worst played game at the worst possible time in LSU footbasll history.

 

There's no greater defender of Jarrett Lee than me on this site .. but I'll say that you can't compare the stats.

I think CLM is taking a bit more chances with the pass game this year, and what better games than to "experiment" than the last three we've had, and the next two we will have. We have to iron out some wrinkles before we play Florida and SC, running up to the Bama game.

Mett does have a swagger about him as QB that Lee lacked. I don't know, it may have been because Lee knew that CLM didn't have any confidence in him, and he also knew that the first opportunity that CLM had to put the impotent wonder back in, he would. But, I agree with the Dandydon site .. I think Mett is an upgrade at QB. He most certainly has a stronger arm, seems to have much better footwork, and tends to appear more confident.

Mistakes will happen. Mett can afford them. Lee couldn't. I think as Mett get's better and better, he'll show he is a better total package at QB than either JJ or Lee were.

 

Nice response. I do agree, I believe that Mett can be better than both. So far, not so much. Hopeful? Always......It never rains in tiger stadium.

I just hated for Lee..... coming back, staying with us sooo long, after so much adversity. Playing so well only to be put aside. Only to be replaced by a QB that had no business doing anything but coming in to run the wildcat. What did he have on Miles?

So far Lee is better than Mett........stats do not lie.

You mean a senior with extensive SEC experience put up better numbers through 3 games than a junior who's never started at this level and saw meaningful time against only 1 SEC team in his career? You don't say.

 

This makes my day! I senior that played a #3 and #22 team, after being benched since his freshman year debacle. Is that what we are talking about? I do say!
