USC is ranked #110 (out of 117) in DI-A pass defense? http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/ncaa/stats/2003/teampassingdefense.html My apologies if this has already been discussed, but that is astonishing. I realize there are several factors that deflate (inflate?) that ranking (stout run D, pass-happy conference, big leads) but for comparison, LSU is #24 and Oklahoma #2. Judging by the matchups, Oklahoma would absolutely slaughter them. I believe LSU would handle them as well. LSU - Oklahoma is the best matchup. GEAUX TIGERS!
Remember thier D is ranked #110 against whom? What I mean about that is its not like they've played the best teams in America either.
