I'm not from Oregon, but I like 'em. The colors have a long tradition with Nike and running and since Nike is HQ'd in Oregon...you do the math. As a runner, I enjoy the colors and the history behind them. You can read a little of the history here if you never heard of Steve Prefontaine or Bill Bowerman or of Oregon's rich track and field tradition. http://www.nike.com/nikebiz/nikebiz.jhtml?page=5&item=steve
Bad analogy... it's more like hating the colors purple and gold but loving them because you love LSU. But I see your point.
Oregon has 3 different helmets, 4 different style jerseys, and 4 different style pants. That's 48 different uniform combinations. That's not tradition that's a fashion show. Hell I know guys who have fewer combinations in their closet.
plus the colors might be a tradition at Oregon, but the uniforms aren't. A school can't change something every season and say it's a tradition
You are absolutely correct... I can't say that I enjoy all of their unis, but their "traditional" ones are fine with me.
i know i was trying for a cheap laugh. but i actually used to like their old uni's with the yellow helmet and the green UO on it. but a few years ago, they got freaky and it was a novelty. Now, they're just over the top. I guess it's cool if you're a player to actually have your input in something like this but let's let the players do what they do best. ok that ends my way too long football fashion commentary.
