Did we get an extra down?

I know it is implausible, but at one point in the 4th quarter right before the time WV got called for the facemask penalty I thought we had to punt and instead it was only 3rd down. All of the down markers read third down and we proceeded to pick up the first down on the next play. What really makes me continue to wonder about it was Miles reaction too. At the exact moment I thought we had to punt they showed a shot of CLM and you could see him mouthing 3rd down as if he was uncertain also. I'm interested to see the replay and count the downs to see what happened. Perhaps I missed a penalty that would have replayed an earlier down or something. Did anyone else see this or was it just me and my imagination? And no, I was completely sober before you ask.

 

I noticed this. I watch games very closely and I asked my wife if I missed something. I thought maybe there was a penalty walked off or.....?

 

It's hard to tell because around that time they were interviewing CUM and we missed plays. I remember distinctly coming back to a scene on the field and it was 1st and 15 and not knowing what had happened.

 

There was a 5 yard penalty that tv missed because they were so busy yapping about other BS.

 

Exactly. My quote was, "I wish they would quit kissing Meyers and show the game!"

It was funny how he had to throw in how he went 3-3 against LSU, after they talked about the fake fg and the 5 first downs made on 4th downs.

I liked that.

 

The end of the game was dumb. I'd rather watch the game then hear commentary.

 

It sucked, because even if you muted the sound, the video was on Meyer.
Idiots! We didn't tune in to see Coach Smarmy...
