If we would have went 10-1 and were going to the SECCG any other year I think the fans would have been going nuts. Heck, I even find myself questioning whether or not I'm going to the SECCG because of the way we played today. What a difference a couple of years make. We won't get a chance to play in the NCG this year and that has some of us (me included) frustrated thinking about what might have been without that Tennessee loss. The truth is we may win the next 2 games and finish #2 in the freaking nation with a 12-1 mark. That my friends is one hell of a year considering what this team has been through. We should all get off our blessed assurance and get your plane tickets and cars geared up for the trip to Atlanta. I've got further to go than most of you and now that I've written this email I'm Atlanta bound ! :geauxtige
spoiled? maybe... but when your team gets the the top, and has been there... you come to expect more and more from your team....
I understand that and am less than pleased with today's performance. We have been inconsistent at times this year but these guys have won 6 close games this year and lost 1. That says something about your character. It is just impossible to be UP for every game. Scoreboard says 10-1. Regardless of what happens next week this has been a successful year.
naw, you can't spoil fine aged meat like me. the rest of you are definately on the ropes though. answer..... LSU fans are a collection of individuals, some are great people, some are idiots. There is no definate answer to your question. for some the answer is yes, others no. If you remember way back to the Cholly mac, Bear, Bammer LSU rivalry then.. doubt you'd be spoiled. 8-9 wins was a GREAT season:thumb: and a struggle in those days.... then came the 90's ....... so no as a general rule I wouldnt think so, but hey.... call Dr. Phil.. he might know.
This is only the third time we had 10 wins in REGULAR season. The other two were the two national championship years. The other four (maybe five) 10 win seasons were after bowls.
I remember well the Cholly Mac days. You are right 8 wins was a successful year back then. We could count on losing to Alabama every year and getting beat by John Bond and Mississippi State 4 years straight. It seemed we were always good but never an elite team. We have been in the elite for 4 years since Saban got here.
