I rarely listen to the radio show "Conference Call" but I tuned in today and I now know why I don't listen to them more often. It was apparently "Bama Day" on their show because if they weren't having a "pity party" for Bama and its' probation problems, they were building up the draft staus of Bama basketball player, Kennedy Winston. I listened to those dumbasses go on and and repeatedly make comments about Kennedy Winston of Alabama being the "Best hope for the SEC to have a player selected in the 1st round of the NBA Draft". The Conference Call crew mentioned that Kennedy Winston was having a "draft party" at the Tuscaloosa Bob Baumhauer's "Wings Restaurant" and even spoke to Winston's high school coach from Mobile about Winston and the draft. Oh, then the Conference Call "braintrust" decided to mention Brandon Bass. They mentioned that Brandon Bass would have been better served to return for another season before entering the draft. What actually happened? Well, Kennedy Winston went UNDRAFTED and Brandon Bass went as the 33rd overall pick and the 3rd pick in the second round. While I think Bass probably would have helped his draft status by returning to LSU and being the 33rd overall pick isn't the greatest, it's a Hell of a lot better than going unselected. It seems every time I tune into that show there is some Bama slant to the damn program. Regarding Bama and their "probation problems", Bama did it to themselves. In reference to Kennedy Winston, all I have to say is that must have been one Hell of a party.
That's the norm for conference call. They love Bama and SST loves anything Mississippi. We need to start a new show here, advertise it as a SEC show, and talk about nothing but LSU. I called in to SST early in the 2003 season and told coach and that prick scott that we would be playing OU for the NC that year, they laughed at me. Scott came here a couple of months later and I reminded him of my prediction, he blew me off. I called back after we won and laughed at them on the air. I then told scott that we had taken a vote, and he was not welcome in West Monroe again. They hung up on me. :hihi:
