I was at walk-ons at a company pick-nick a little over an hour ago (6:30 pm-ish) and to my horror and dismay we all watched as tiger stadium became covered in pillowing black smoke:shock:  . This went on for maybe 15-20 minutes as many firetrucks raced by. As quickly as it started it went out and when I drove by all I could see was a bunch of firetrucks and the lsu police had blocked off the road. Never saw any flames and the stadium looks ok at least from the oustide. I didn't know if anybody else had seen this or had any other information but the rumor going around at walk-ons was the old dormitory's had gone up. Not a sight you see everyday and one I really hope I never see again at death valley.
Wouldnt the local news stations have this in the headlines on their respected websites? Cuz i see nothing of this news.

question 1: what was the cause question 2: if they don't know, how safe is it to go in the stadium when the season starts?! question 3: why the hell are we not doing more to remodel, or just completely gut out those dorms?
Answer 1: Ramah started a protest fire to get Saban back. Answer 2: Thats a good question I would hate to see a stampede trying to make it out of there. Answer 3: Money
Still fire trucks out there and S. Stadium drive blocked off.. as of 20 minutes ago. I bet that call got a rapid response from all of the fire crews!
It was actually band members who made the call. We saw it on our way to the IFF and called 911, who had not heard anything of it. This was when the entire upper deck had a lot of smoke covering it. The entire band was standing outside watching it for a good 10 minutes.....
