How do some of these guys get elected? http://www.washingtontimes.com/national/20060608-041042-9038r.htm Some Democrats, breaking ranks from their leadership, today said the death of terrorist leader Abu Musab Zarqawi in Iraq was a stunt to divert attention from an unpopular and hopeless war. "This is just to cover Bush's [rear] so he doesn't have to answer" for Iraqi civilians being killed by the U.S. military and his own sagging poll numbers, said Rep. Pete Stark, California Democrat. "Iraq is still a mess -- get out."
These kind of people are so far out there that no one - not even fellow Demorcrates - take them seriously.
This is why the democrats are not in power. They are too idiotic to realize that the republicans do a better job at shooting themselves in the foot than the democrats ever taking down the republican party by themselves. the actions of the democrats only strenghthen the republican party and thank God for that.
lets put our partisan poltics aside and watch a nice video of a british girl with tourettes scream at black people: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CDrbrLU8fIg&search=tourettes
I think that statement is as bad as the Democratic claims of a publicity stunt, but I cannot deny the humor. In reality this is no different than when Clinton bombed Al Queda and the Republicans said it was a pulicity stunt.
Bullchit. I hate it when you make me defend this doofus. :nope: "Sen. Ted Kennedy: "Zarqawi was a vicious terrorist organizer and murderer, and our troops and the Iraqi security forces both deserve great credit for tracking him down. We all hope his death marks the beginning of the end of the strength of the foreign terrorist network in Iraq that has caused so much death and destruction." -- Edward Kennedy, 8 June 2006
It is quite different. IMO, Clinton bombed a knowingly empty cave without the intent of attacking Al Qaeda. His sole purpose was for political relief of himself & his party. Bush, on the other hand, made a very deliberate dombing on Al Qaeda with the purpose of routing out terrorist. Although surely political relief was a plus for the situation, it was not the driving factor here - unlike with Clinton.
