    Can you say Rwanda?

Some people talk a good game, some actually try to do something.

Read the history books and learn something. Clinton won the Kosovo War with Yugoslavia.

It was a NATO war, not an American war. The European allies are heavy on dipomacy with war as a last resort. When it came to that, Clinton stepped up with US aipower to get it done quickly and with no casualties.

It was the STUPID thing to do. It took Al Qaida off the hook, ruined our international prestige, exposed our military weaknessess, is bankrupting us, hasn't made us any safer, and was all based on lies concocted by the Bush administration. It will guaranteed him a slot as the worst President in US history.

He never had the troops to do. Ask any General. Read their books. The long-standing plan to subdue Iraq called for 500,000 troops. Rummy canned that idea, suggested that 60,000 would be enough and retired any general who defied him.

And that idiot Cheney. And that idiot Wolfowitz. And that idiot Rove. And that idiot Miers. And that idiot Gonzales. He has surrounded himself with idealogues and is more concerned with personal loyalty to his people that to the overall good of the United States. Of course, the only advisor that told him the straight score, Colin Powell, was run off.

A federal system sounds do-able, but these people just don't seem to understand democracy. They've only known strongmen. It wouldn't work unless they got on board. I don't see that happening.

Only the Kurds have cooperated and not killed Americans. Only the Kurds have a free market economy prospering right now. Only the Kurds all live in one area. We must stand by the Kurds because they have stood by us. We mislead and failed them in 1975 and we mislead and failed them in 1991, we cannot fail them again.

But the Sunnis and the Shiites don't live in neatly separate areas. They are going to have to fight this out. There will be ethic cleansing and they both kill Americans. These are the areas that we need to leave. let them fight it out. We don't need to retreat to Kansas. We need to do no more than redeploy troops to Kurdistan and Kuwait, where we have safe bases and the people like us. They are still close enough to stop any Iranian, Turkish, or Syrian ambitions in Iraq, but won't getting killed for nothing in the meantime.

Puerile fantasy. It couldn't be done without endangering half the world. It would cost a fortune, wouldn't eliminate terror cells among us, would ruin the world economy, and would make us the Nazi's of the 21st Century. It doesn't have a payoff.

Not to change the subject or anything but while we are bickering amongst ourselves I see 1 out of every 3 is a minority so I figure that makes normal
Americans a minority in a few years.

Our leaders on both sides have dropped the ball big time and I figure since Bush 41 forward our country has aged about 50 years.
People cry about our military is stretched to thin well you can think Bush 41
and Clinton because our military has been downsized so much that we are
    stretched way too thin.

While we try and better other countries our country has and is being taken over by another type of invasion.
People may wonder why I don't post much here anymore.
Bottomline is I believe both sides are responsible and I believe that this country is coming to an end as we knew it.

With no leaders and no military, amnesty for illegals, Chinese food to US unchecked, another 50 years should just about do it!
Edit:And some people worry over global warming?

I'm definitely a conservative and dread even the thought of one of the Democratic candidates winning. However you are right about Ann Coulter I've never seen a woman that lies so much with a straight face. Anyone that believes her extremist biased rhetoric would have drank the koolaid at jonestown. I feel that extremist that spew biased self serving garbage non stop are despicable no matter which party they belong to. JMHO

I like Ann. If she is, as some of you say, the equivalent of the far rights version of michael moore, then at least ours is attractive. :thumb:
