A site dedicated to the campaigning of firing Charlie Weis has a poll asking who should replace Weis upon termination. Urban Meyer, Saban, and Miles are included in the choices. Do these guys actually think they can pull anyone they desire? I realize it's just an online poll, but come on.:insane:

Yes, they are obnoxious. They haven't really had a good program for awhile. I am trying to remember their BCS recent history. I know we smoked them last year, and Oregon State smoked them in the Fiesta Bowl back in the 2001 season or something. 1-9? Are you freaking kidding me? And I thought the 90s were bad for us.

They can get Saban at the right price.

Meyer could have gone there when he went to Fla., turned them down. He ain't going. Folks have complained that with their admission standards, they can no longer recruit with the big boys, which is why Meyer turned them down. Paul Hornung said it first.

Let me preface this by saying I cannot STAND ND. That said, IMHO...they CAN get just about whomever they want as coach. Also, it's silly to think they can't recruit due to high admission standards. Check the current recruiting boards...#1.

I spoke last night to a friend of mine...big domer homer. I asked him what he really thought about Chollie Weis. He said he thinks it was all a big mistake, although he won't go so far as to say CW is no good...just that he's maybe not cut out to be NCAA HC material. More like a pro HC.:rolleye33: He agreed that he cannot use the "Ty Willingham couldn't recruit" excuse...as their best players since CW has been there were Ty's recruits...and are now gone...leaving ND 1-9 or whatever they are.

I could see Saban leaving Bama in a few years (three to five years), but only to handfull of programs. ND is one of those. ND might not have been good the past decade or so, but they are one of the most storied programs in college football with a rich tradition, along with a huge and wealthy fanbase (that isn't quite as crazy as the Bama fanbase).

ND could attract a very good coach, if they offered the coach the right condiditons, i.e., more relaxed entrance requirements and high pay.

Speaking of, how much are they paying Weis?

I don't know the details, but I know he was given a 10 YEAR extension during his FIRST YEAR at ND.:rolleye33: Stupid domers.

Speaking of Delusional, Did anybody hear Lou Holtz comment about ND's lost to Air Force on Saturday?

Reece or May commented on the fact that ND lost to all the academies, it may have been for the first time this happened.

Lou Holtz response was "Well this just shows you how much the academies have improved recently". :insane:

    I couldn't believe this.

If LSU went 1-9 I'd want to fire our coach too. There is no reason for ND to be that bad. I can see them having a down year but losing to Army? Don't get me wrong, I love watching the wheels come off.
