Why does our defense need to wear arm bands with the plays in them? I know that Pellini's defense is not near as complicated as Saban's.
not at all. I am serious, why the arm bands? Defense is not rocket science, plus they didn't wear them last year that I remember.
And you know this as fact because you have copies of both playbooks, right??? ...either that, or you DEFINATELY recall NOT seeing (and can prove with photographs or individual player statements) that our defensive players, under Saban, didn't wear them at all. :dis:
And you'd be wrong. Go to lsusports.net and under multimedia, select "photo galleries" and go back to the gallery for the Ole Miss game. In that set, you'll see Cameron Vaughn closing in on a sack, and you'll clearly see an armband on his left wrist, with the list of defensive plays. And that's the first picture I came across, so feel to keep looking through and I'm sure you'll find more.
Maybe they have pizzas waiting for the team at half time and all the players keep menus on their wrists ? Maybe our players are studying for school during the game ? Maybe they are playing video games ? Seriously, its amazing how complicated the game has become. You really can't be a dummy and play some of the positions on the team. I had never seen us run the defense we ran against ULL to deal with the no-huddle before. At least I don't think we did. I'm sure one of you will tell me if we did.
