unfortunately, it's easy for me to lose sight of civility when i'm proving for the umpteenth time that i'm right.... i'll do better because if the site goes down i'll have to find something else to do at work.....
True, but the same could be said for every single political forum since the beginning of the internet.
Again, I am less concerned with FSA (although there is no reason to be an asshole there either) than I am with the rest of the site.

I don't want to see the site shut down because of a few bad apples. Increased moderation and temporary bans might be a good way to get things under control. Also, using the ignore function is very useful.
Here's an idea....add an 'asshole' button next to 'Like' 'Quote' and 'Reply'. Maybe call it "A-hole". If members think a poster was being an asshole they click it. Every click greys out or increases the transparency of that post. Too many clicks and it's not even readable.
