The great Al Gore, the people's choice for President of the United States, has endorsed Mr. Dean. Folks, this will be your democrat candidate for the 2004 election.

Do yall have any thoughts about why, or why not, he would be the best candidate/posiible President of the USA?

Gore is just trying to win a power struggle with Hillary.
He is backing the candidate that Bill and Hillary keep pushing candidates to defeat.
His endorsement is more about the 2008 election than the 2004 election.
I for one think Dean will be a much easier candidate for Bush to beat as Dean is from the left wing of the Democratic Party. Gore and Clinton did well in national elections, because they were considered moderates even though I never really believed this with Gore.

I wonder if Joe Leiberman needs help pulling that very large knife out of his back.

Gore is making a huge gamble in his bid to overtake the Clintonistas and become chief power broker in the Democratic Party. Dean must now not only win the election, he must defeat Bush. Otherwise, Gore will now be seen as a loser who picks losers, and sets the stage for Hillary in 2008, instead of him or his "appointed one."

i dont like dean. his opposition to thew war is cheap and two faced. when people are dying, and we all know its terrible, but necessary, i think its the cheapest type of politics to ride the emotion of anti war sentiment. he feeds on the understandable tendency of people to be anti-war when the war inevitably becomes difficult.

there is nothing worse than a politician who latches on to an emotional cause for political expediency. the war is difficult, but necessary, and i think he knows that, but is too ambitious to acknowledge it.

Dean may be a no good hippie, but at least he likes guns.
