Dandy Don thinks LSU fans looking past OSU game? What is he talking about?!?!?! I am sooo pumped for this game. This is the only game I have been thinking about on the entire schedule. Are there really LSU fans looking past this game? I know i'll be horse sunday morning....
Looking past Oregon State to.........Arkansas State? Yeah right. Any team with a Heisman contender, a couple Thorpe contenders and the linebackers they have warrants our attention. Not that we're gonna lose the game or anything....
I completely disagreed with Dandy Don's observation on the fan attitude with respect to Oregon St. I think if anything most fans are pumped to try and rattle the hell out of those Pac-10 pansies and show 'em how loud SEC stadiums can get. I love the SEC vs. Pac-10 aspect of this game and from everyone I've talked to OSU should be in for a rude awakening on Sept. 4th. Opening day at Tiger Stadium following a National Championship season.....how the hell can you not be wound up for this? Pound those Beavers, baby....
Any fan who can't get pumped up for the first game after a national championship is crazy. Besides that we get a Pac-10 opponent at home...something that we rarely get to see. I can't sleep at night, because I'm so ready to show those Pac-10 boys how football stadiums in the SEC sound and feel like. :lsug:
I also disagree. I think this game might be close in the first half. Players on both sides are going to be pumped up and may be a little to aggresive on the offensive side of the ball. I expect Randall to overthrow his first few passes before he settles down. Can't fricken wait!!!!!!!!!!!!
I saw that today and was honestly offended by Don's take on the deal. You never look past anyone in any sport. ask the Yankees last year against the Marlins.
The fans are pumped, and the game was sold out before tickets even went on sale to the general public. This is not our ordinary ULM opener.
Don is half right. I think everybody is looking forward to the OSU game. Excitement is high. But Don has a point in that most fans don't think the Tigers are capable of losing the game, that's what he's getting at. I think that Tiger fans are highly confident in this LSU team, but will be a little surprised by how good Oregon State is. They are not the usual opening cupcake. The Tigers should win, but it ain't automatic.
Opener at home...1st game after NC...SEC vs. Pac 10...Game Day in town...National TV...at night in Death Valley???? WHAT??????Not pumped???? Sorry Dandy...You missed the boat badly on this one. :geaux: :911: I can't speak for other fans, but no way, in my heart of hearts, have I chalked this up as an automatic win. 1st game, new QB, new season? Too many things can go wrong against a good team. I am supremely confident, but it's tempered by nervousness. After the 1st couple of series, I hope I'm a little more relaxed than I am right now.
