Well, Danny boy cleared up his document snafu. He dug up a 106 year old woman, that said they were fake, but that the content of the documents was true. I'm pretty sure, this is when Danny got a stiffy, and ask her to lean back and take a deep breath, (I thought I was going too have to employ the v-chip) and then proceeded to ask her a completely contrived and biased question. Did Lt.Bush receive favorable treatment? OMG!!!

I will now probably have to vote for kerry after that revelation. NOT!!!

Yep, I'd expect to see Dan announce his retirement shortly after the election. Savage was giving Bill O'Reilly hell tonight, accusing him of auditioning for Rather's job. Sounds reasonable too, O'Reilly let the old fart off way to easy; he's definitely campaigning for something.

    From Mr. Blather:

"If the documents are not what we were led to believe, I'd like to break that story," Rather said last night, according to the Washington Post. "Any time I'm wrong, I want to be right out front and say, 'Folks, this is what went wrong and how it went wrong.' "

Poor guy, don't you feel sorry for him? Looks like he is just a patsy in a greater conspiracy  :

"This is not about me," Rather told the Post before anchoring last night's newscast. "I recognize that those who didn't want the information out and tried to discredit the story are trying to make it about me, and I accept that."

Right, Dan. :dis: :dis: But when Bush says he relied on faulty intelligence, he's still a liar intent on going to war with Iraq.

You have to wonder if the 106 year old woman is a Democrat.

She says the docs are probably fake and then says that the belief could be true while
everyone else that had anything to do with this situation says the docs are fake
    and the beliefs are untrue.

Such as the son and the wife of the commander and the other officer that was mentioned.

His ratings have plummeted since this story and his credibility is shot. Good going Danny Boy! :thumb:

She is. She called Bush "unfit for command" and "selected not elected" in the first interview she did for a Texas newpaper. I think Dan forgot to mention that last night.

She also said she didn't remember anything about his service, but I'm not sure when that was said. But then she said in another interview that she remembers Bush and thought he was a very nice boy or something like that, this was in the same "unfit" interview I believe. The woman is obviously getting paid by two sources.

Killian's family said he kept no "private memos", so Rather is once again not going with the facts. The only Killian memos we've seen speak very highly of Bush, so this isn't going to work either. But I read that the Dems are gonna move on to his business dealings now, anyway. Maybe they'll eventaully find something that sticks. :nope:
