called this a pick 'em, and I guess they were right. I'm not here to rub it in.... you all played a heck of a lot better than I thought you would in that tough environment. I was VERY impressed with both your lines and secondary. I've read your board today and you have all been pretty respectful. This league is tough, any away game is dangerous. I was surprised at how lightly many of you took this game.... but apparantly it was mainly bluster. This win does not make Saban CTT's biatch, nor does it mean your team sucks. I'll be honest and admit that I am glad that the game was not postponed... due mainly to the fact that I think your QB situation would have been settled..... it would have made a difficult task even more so. Anyway... I hope you don't get too down on your team/coaches.... you are almost as good as many of you predicted. War Eagle!!! BT:OB+
Not here to rub it in, eh? Come on O&B, the veiled insults in your post are transparent and quite beneath you. Other Auburn posters here have been much more gracious. "Saban CTT's biatch", "your team sucks","you are almost as good as many of you predicted", "how lightly many of you took this game", "it was mainly bluster". OK . . . and Auburn isn't as good as many of you think, either. Auburn eked out a one-point win at home. Your defense is impressive but your offense couldn't get a touchdown drive going until the 4th quarter prayer. No rushing touchdowns at all. Your offense is going to lose Auburn some games this year, chum.
Blood Yes, there's seems to be a lot of over-confident, immature people around here that think LSU should garner national respect and never be criticized based on last year's results. I said it all last week, this was gonna be a tough game considering we would be playing a RS frosh QB for a substantial period of the game with many unproven players. however, there are many around here that think all it takes to win are potential and talent. so, we know have our first reality check for the tiger forum fans who take pride in bashing our opponent's fans and the media. maybe, they're just college students who are too young to remember those recent dog days under hallman and dinardo. nothing is a given in this game especially when you must play on the road in the rough and tumble SEC. maybe, they'll wake up now and start respecting opposing opinions and fans. just like saban said, were at base camp again.
friday, you should go over to Auburn's message boards and see what old BTOB has to say about LSU. Red55 knows exactly what I am talking about, he is using these underhanded tactics to rub it in. BTOB you have a decent team but now we find out who can win a marathon. LSU has been here before so remember come Dec. I will be sure to let what the weather is like in Atlanta. GEAUX TIGERS!!
I've no love lost for LSU.... especially after reading a truck-load of crap thrown our way. I posted a thread asking how LSU fans can be so arrogant going into our game.... I think I might have got 2 responses that weren't along the lines of " CTT is Saban's biatch", "2003 nat champs, nuff said" and enough name calling to make a sailor's head spin. I predicted a win, I said you needed knocked down a notch, I said that the overall opinion of LSU fans about AU was that this was going to be an easy game. I stand by my post. Listen, I don't have to like you, you don't have to like me....... but I WILL talk football with you without name-calling, flames, etc.... Personal feelings aside, I think you have a great team. Looking at your roster, you will be a GREATER team next year. I've no problem giving your team props, you're well coached and tough as nails.... just a little green. Unless banned, I will continue to visit this forum because I find it interesting, and because I like to keep apprised of our competition. Anyway.... if we had lost, I would have shown up and offered congratulations, as it stands, I still respect your team a great deal..... and expect you to win out against the rest of the SEC... yes, that includes UGA, and FL.
