I'll be pulling for Florida as if they were LSU. Anyone else? Personally, I am sick and tired of hearing about Texas, the Big 12, and anything related to how the SEC just doesn't have it anymore when compared to other conferences. Good luck Gators.
The SEC has 9 teams in the final 32... There is no question there... I'm pulling for Florida not only for the SEC tie to them, but also for my hate of Texas. Texas also has 5 championships; we are tied with them and ASU for the 2nd most championships. Texas is proud of their many CWS appearances, but they cannot finish the job... I want them to continue that tradition.
I had one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a football game at the University of Florida. On top of that, I suffered through the most devastating loss I think I have ever experienced EVER in 2003. But, Florida is Florida, and in the end, they are SEC brethren. If they can bring another title home to the SEC, and in the process deny the Big 12, much less any other conference a title, I'll be pulling for them as if they were my team. There's nothing like being able to tell kids "hey, you want to come play for LSU, in the SEC, where the best teams always compete for championships".

Even though LSU has won 5 championships like Texas, Texas has a much richer baseball history. Whether they win number 6 or not, nothing will change that. In regards to they cant finish the job, they have 5 titles and 5 runner ups in what 33 appearances? Roughly 1/3 of the time they get there, they play for the title. Thats still impressive. Then again, LSU's 5 titles in 13 appearances is mighty impressive too. No matter which way you slice it, no one will ever catch USC and no one will ever have a run like they did in the 70's. :lsup:
I don't think anyone will ever have a run like LSU did in the 90's either... Baseball has become much more of a competitive sport lately... I mean... 7 of the 8 teams in this CWS were not in it last year....
Agreed.But, Winning 5 championships in a row like USC did is just untouched. LSU did it in a 10 year span, which for present day is awesome. But, I cant see anyone every coming close to that. What they did and what LSU did in the time they did it will never be done again.
