    ALABAMA -
    Backup quarterback Brandon Avalos (suspension)
    Offensive line
Wesley Britt (leg) expected to miss the remainder of the season.
Mark Sanders (leg) is questionable against Louisiana State.
Dennis Alexander (leg) is questionable against Louisiana State.
Tight end Clint Johnston (neck) is questionable against LSU.
Tight end David Cavan (knee) is questionable against LSU.
    Linebacking
Cornelius Wortham (elbow) will miss the remainder of the year.
Brooks Daniels (personal) has left the team.

So, the reason the wounded elepants have been so damned quiet in here is REALLY QUITE SIMPLE:

CROYLE'S STILL HURT and where's the backups. The O-Line is decimated. Croyle is at the bottom of the league in Passing Efficiency. Who's the back-up? Croyle will be hit hard, often and will take punishment and injury. He'll have to leave the game.
    Who comes in for BAMA?

Name G QBRat Att Comp Pct Yds Y/A Y/G TD Int Long Sack
    Croyle 9 127.5 242 137 56.6 1722 7.1 191.3 13 8 86 16
    Pennington 3 95.4 29 13 44.8 159 5.5 53.0 1 1 28 2 0
    Avalos 2 30.1 15 5 33.3 18 1.2 9.0 0 1 9 0 0

    And the answer is:
    Spencer Pennington-------bengal tiger roars, "deeeeeeeeelicious"

I know its apples – oranges when comparing high school to college. However, the logic is the same. I remember when I was in the 7th grade, in NW Florida. The Walton Braves from near Fort Walton was playing the Milton Panthers. Milton had a record of 4-3 and Walton was undefeated at 7-0.

Walton was averaging like 56ppg. The Pensacola papers were saying Walton would put the water boys in during the 2nd qt, to hold the score under 70.

Milton scored on their first possession, (7-0) and Walton scored with 1:15 left in the game. There were no overtimes in that day except for playoffs. The difference was not Walton being over rated; it was underestimating Milton. I believe Milton played 5 teams that were in the state playoffs that season, before playing Walton. Milton probably had the toughest schedule in NWF.

That schedule prepared them for Walton. Milton lost all three games by a total of 7 points ending up 6-3-1 No playoff.

Bama reminds me of the Milton scenario at a much higher level. I hope the Tigers are focused-play fundamentally sound, and lots of intensity, with no let up in sight.

I would not think so, and I am a gambling man. But, that's why we play 'em and BAMA has zero to lose here.

LSU knows this, and there Ain't NO WAY Saban is leaving Tuscaloosa with a loss. He'll have LSU so pumped up to play,
your two Charlies in the D-backfield will need IVs to keep up with LSUs wideouts.

He will call the dawgs off in the third quarter with 28+ point lead.

Saban has class, unlike that trash Stoops. The AU game, the LA Tech game et al is proof of that. Texas A&M will get payback on that 77-0 game, even if it comes at cost of "dirty play" and injury attempts. Stoops wasn't very bright doing what he did.

It's biblical, my friends, what a man shall sow, so shall he reap.

That being said ... 31-0 is FRESH IN LSU minds. Hell is coming to Tuscaloosa wearing purple and gold ... are you ready

Stoops called off the dogs but the Aggies kept shooting themselves in the foot with fumbles and interceptions. OU's 77 points were on the boards way before the end of the third quarter. If Stoops had poured it on it could have easily been way over 100. Even if you put in the 3rd and 4th string running backs and offensive linemen and hand the ball off on every play you can't tell these guys not to play their best. I don't wish a beating like that on the A&M players and fans but I have no sympathy for their coach, Dennis Franchione. This week Oklahoma plays Baylor. A&M beat Baylor 73-10. Where is the rant against Franchione for running it up on Baylor? Even of Stoops calls off the dogs early can OU score 100 to 150 points on Baylor? Look at it like this. If LSU was to get into the Sugar bowl for a National Championship game the Tigers would be a huge underdog against a team that was winning by margins between 50 to 100 points. That would only enhance the stature of LSU to win by overcoming such overwhelming odds. Right now all the talk by the ESPN talking heads is focused on the question "Does anybody want to play Oklahoma?" LSU matches up with OU man for man better than any of the remaining contenders. OU is a great team but they are not the 60's Green Bay Packers, the 70,s Pittsburgh Steelers, the 80's San Francisco 49ers or the 90's Dallas Cowboys.

ChuckE is right on, however, it's hard for me to see LSU losing this one. Chuck, I grew up in P'cola myself and saw Milton beat many a team. Year in and year out they were one of the best 3A schools around.

Our first and second team QBs have shoulder seperations. Croyle is one tough kid and has played almost the entire season without his left arm, unless Saban intentionally goes after him like Richt did(clean hit) he will play the entire game. the third team QB , the one that played VS uga, and started against USM, has been suspended for the season for violating team rules. I hate it for the team but like the fact Shula did this despite the QB situation!
