What does this remind you of ? First year head coach is 2-2 after losing to a team out of a lesser conference than the SEC. The following week they play a top 15 team at home.
First of all "Great win by the Tigers". I was glued to the game. Bama fell to a well coached NIU team. In fact, the MAC had a most impressive week. They beat us with special teams, making us start deep in our own territory, they controlled the clock and line of scrimmage, shut down our running game and caused Bama to never get into any kind of rythem. They just plain beat us, no excuses. I can only hope that this team turns out like the team that lost to Louisiana Tech then beat Arkansas and Florida the following two weeks. I think they have the character and desire to rebound. But, the last two games after the close loss to Oklahoma have been kind of flat. Good luck against Miss. st. and don't look ahead to Florida.
And hey, you can't feel all that bad about losing to Northern Illinois--just ask THEN highly-ranked Maryland...
I don't know if anybody understood what I said but the scenario Alabama is in reminds me of Saban's first year after we were 2-2 afte a loss to UAB and upset UT at home the following week.
I knew exactly what you meant. That's why I figured Bama would Pork Slap the Hogs back to Arky. Just like we did to Fat Phil and his boys.
