More than likely Saban and Miami are still negotiating. Do you actually believe Saban has received Miami's best offer and is just sitting on it for some unknown reason? It is obvious that many here haven't been involved in complex contract negotiations...
I really hope all that is true. We should be able to tell within the next hour or so as the news, if real, would spread like wildfire around Baton Rouge. I am sure there will be others at the party to help independantly confirm this, if true. ________ Marajuana evaluation. tarzana
WJBO (On their website) confirmed Saban is holding a press conference tomorrow to announce his decision. Thank god tomorrow this will all be over.
You know...everyone is so caught up in this thing and commenting how it hurts recruiting and if he was staying why would he keep it to himself for so long. Well it's only been a week since Saban first talked to Dolphins reps. That's just a blip in the time line. If he wants to mull it over he could take 2 weeks and not really harm anything. If we had to get another coach then that staff would have plenty of time for damage control. Believe it or not there were some Dinardo recruits who were not sold on Saban until he sat in their livingrooms so I have no doubt there would be no problem here either. Heck it would be even less damaging because of the status of LSU football now. Now if this Christmas party thing is true then Merry Christmas. I don't blame the man for looking into other offers and he should take time to study his options. A week isn't much to ask and if the announcement comes tomorrow he took less time than he could have. He has every right to make it through Christmas before he let his choice be known...
