I feel compelled to start a cravings thread. Don't know why.

Right now it's boiled crawfish, potatoes and corn. I'm heading to NOLA in March and my friend wants to eat at Frank's. ANyone know about this place? Any good?

    What are you craving?

Have you started in with the weird cravings, yet? With my older daughter, I couldn't stand the sight of chicken (and I LOVE chicken) for the entire pregnancy and the better part of a year after giving birth.

However, I craved red meat and oranges.

With my younger daughter, I craved (and I'm not kidding) pickles. I was going through two jars a week.

Watch out, though, because the pounds go on and stay on VERY easily during pregnancy. Don't take it as an excuse to eat without worrying about the consequences.

None yet. It's the stuff I've always loved, just enhanced.

Has your sense of smell gone through the roof? That was the strangest thing for me. I couldn't bear the smell of the handsoap used for the bathrooms at school. Normally, I can't even smell it.

I couldn't have candles burning or anything like that, either.

Yes. I can smell smoke from 100 yards away with the wind blowing in the opposite direction.

CRAWFISH. I really hope my parents can get their hands on some this weekend. It's gonna be ridiculous if they do.

i get cravings god knows how many times a day. i cant go to the good eats section of the board without getting any. you might want to stay away from it. lol.

batty and i talked about this when she called to tell me she was preggers. with the sense of smell, thats how i knew with my last pregnancy that something was wrong. i went into braums and smelled bacon frying and almost threw up. i love bacon so that was definitely a sign something wasnt right!
