Typical. I wonder if anyone ever said they didn't want to have someone on their show because they were overly critical of Bush? Hell, it's been a free fire zone on W since he was elected. No lib ever passed on an opportunity to slam the guy...but Obama will receive many free passes...all in the name of not being a "downer".
I am not a big Coulter fan, but banning her because of her conservative views is certainly in keeping with the major news media's role as the mouthpiece for the Democratic Party.
That's just a Drudge, story, speaking of conservative media bias. Here is what NBC had to say about it. Coulter is a twit and an idiot and lives on making controversial attacks against 911 widows, Vietnam vets, religion, feminists, Jews, and liberals among others. NBC has gotten big ratings from her live skirmishes with Katie Couric and Matt Lauer before. She'll be on again. Coulter is so dim and such a hardcore fascist that allowing her to appear actually hurts the conservatives. She's liable to say anything.
She said that George W. Bush, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and Tom Delay are the victims of this country. They havent done anything wrong. She also said Sean Hannity has a better chance of being assasinated than Obama does and it doesnt matter if hes an African American... Just a few tidbits from the interview. These are her words, so dont take it as something I am spinning. Here is the link for the interview. http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2009/01/06/earlyshow/main4701213.shtml
Sure, when you can't defend Coulter, just try to change the subject instead. Well, it won't win you many debates. :dis: Al Franken would make as good a senator as Rush Limbaugh-- pretty horrible. Partisan extremists like them are the problem with politics today. Despite your constant attempts to paint me as liberal, I'm all about the middle . . . not the extremes. The Republicans inability to embrace moderate positions is part of their ongoing political failure. Franken may be a liberal radical, but the other new Democrats on the hill are moderate democrats. While the republicans fall back onto their far-right base, even criticizing Bush for not being conservative enough, the democrats have learned that there is power in the middle and have moved towards the center. It's still left of center and no substitute for a genuine moderate third party, but the democrats are at least making their positions palatable to the 47 % of Americans who consider themselves moderates, while the republicans are not doing so.
Come on Red, they bumped her, but they kept Perez Hilton to talk about the Palestinian Issue? What is he gonna talk about? How Israel is secretly sleeping with Jordan? Like i said I am not a big fan of her, but their explanation holds no waters. See what i said above, I am by no means supporting what she says, but something stinks in NBC-land.
Breaking News is breaking news. Wait and see if Coulter returns. My bet is that there is no "ban", just a network taking care of their business first. Coulter herself is not news. Promoting Coulter's new book just isn't as high on their priorities as a shooting war. She'll be back on a slow day.
