with the way he usually dances around questions that he doesnt want to answer, why did he insist (in previous weeks) that he has no interest in leaving LSU? he's always been VERY vague when he doesnt want to divulge information that he knows the fans dont want to hear. so why would he make such certain, clear statements regarding the situation if he knew that wasnt the case?

Dude you shouldn't be surprised or disappointed in what he said. He's said this throughout his entire college coaching career.

I believe he truely cares for LSU and the lower profile this is, the less it will hurt recruiting.

Question is IF (Big if) he choses to stay how will LSU fans recieve him now that he has done this two years in a row ????

I know we love Saban but at some point LSU fans will grow tired of this...
He may know that himself to be candid, he would not go this far if he didnt know because how the local media and fan base would handle it.

Saying that you're committed to the bowl game is like telling your wife that you'll be in the marriage at least until supper time- doens't exactly make anyone feel better.

I don't think he is going. Last year would have been the perfect situation for him. If he goes, I wish him well and will support the new coach. Having said that , I hope he stays.

Nope. This year his son graduates from high school and his daughter graduates from middle school. Now is the perfect, absolutely perfect time for him to leave :([IMG][IMG]
